If you’re looking for the best beaches in Martinique you don’t have to look to hard. I don’t think any of the beaches fall too short from feeling like your in paradise. The are so many beaches to choose from, each with its own characteristics. Some with more waves, others that are more calm, so that are more natural beaches, local beaches, and some that are more oriented for families or water sports. No matter what type of beach goer you are I am sure you will find a beach that you will enjoy.

Plage Anse Cosmy (Trinité), is a convenient calm local beach, close to where we stayed (Robert) and not too far from the Presqu’île de la Caravelle.

Plage Pointe Marin, (Saint Anne) is one of the southern beaches with many restaurants and a long stretched beach with a beautiful background of the green landscaped mountains. I even spotted a huge star fish snorkeling here…

Anse Noire (Les Anses-d’Arlet)you have to walk down a good amount of stairs which leads you to a black sand beach. You can snorkel here, if your lucky you may even see some sea turtles.

Anse Figuiers ( Rivière-Pilote)great beach for snorkeling. You don’t have to go very far and you can see lots of fish, coral, and urchins.

Les Salines ( Sainte Anne), is considered as one of the most beautiful beaches in Martinique. Bring your hammock, food to picnic, and enjoy a beautiful day at the beach.  Stay to watch the sunset, and if you see a lady walking around with an ice cream cart make sure to grab her home made ice cream, especially the coconut one, it was so good.
