Thanksgiving in Paris: Where to Eat?

The holiday season is officially here! Christmas is right around the corner!! But wait, there is one more holiday in between that is special for all the American expats in Paris. For those of you who are trying to figure out what you will do for Thanksgiving this year. Don’t worry we have gathered up a list of places where you can buy ingredients to prepare a traditional Thanksgiving menu, and for those who want to dine out there are several places offering special menus for the occasion.

Thanksgiving Chez Toi

Thanksgiving Store

Is an American grocery store where you can find all your Thanksgiving supply needs. You can of course find substitute ingredients in regular grocery stores and markets, but for some dishes you just can’t cheat. They have a great stock for ranging from canned Pumpkin, cranberries, graham crackers, marshmallows, and you can even order a turkey (French farm raised).  he shop is located at 20 rue Saint Paul, but turkeys need to be ordered (with a non-refundable deposit) by November 17 at 01 42 77 68 29.

Real McCoy’s

Is another year round American grocery store to find products. You may also find ingredients you need at La Grand Epicerie, as they often carry American products.


Thanksgiving Out

Joséphine- Caves Parisiennes

This year Joséphine- Caves Parisiennes is hosting a special Thanksgiving Menu, 21 Nov, 2016. Every month they host ‘l’Agenda des Chefs’, where there is an invited chef, who creates a menu and you share it in a cozy ‘speakeasy’ ambiance. Kristin Frederick the American genius behind Le Camion qui fume burger food truck/restaurant is the invited guest and has prepared a delicious Thanksgiving menu, which is 35€ per person. There are limited seats so if you’re interested make sure to book asap here.

Ô Chateau

O Chateau is hosting a Thanksgiving dinner Thursday 24 November. The menu includes a Pumkin Velouté, roast turkey with potatoes au gratin and coleslaw, followed by apple tart with pecan nut ice cream for 45€. Wine pairings are available for either €31 or €67.


What’s Thanksgiving without some NFL football ! Belushi’s sports bar is serving a roasted turkey, creamy mashed potatoes, with roasted vegetables and gravy. They will also be showing Thanksgiving day games live with the Vikings taking on the Lions at 6:30pm followed by Redskins vs. the Cowboys at 10:30pm. If you want to splurge and have Thanksgiving in luxury.   Ralph Lauren’s flagship boutique/ restaurant will be a perfect option for you. They have prepared to celebrate Thanksgiving in true American tradition,with turkey, stuffing, apple pie and so much more.  Be aware it is quite pricey, its around 120€ per person.
