Just 2.5 hours away from Los Angeles, you can have a fun filled day trekking through Joshua Tree National Park. It is located where the Mojave and Sonoran desert meet which presents a variety of landscapes in the park. In the Mojave upper portion of the park, you can see the prickly looking Joshua Trees and unique rock formations. In the lower Colorado part of the park, you see more typical plants of the hotter Sonoran desert, like cactus.
There are so many different options of things to do from trails with varying difficulty levels and scenery, rock climbing , and Park Ranger Programs that take you on nature walks.
Check out some of the pictures from my trip. I just got a new camera for Christmas so it was the perfect occasion to check it out.
