Things to do in July in Paris

Summer has officially gotten under way! Before taking off for holidays, try and squeeze in some summer fun in the city before jetting off for some rest & relaxation time. Below you will find a calendar full of events going on this month ranging from outdoor dancing, food festivals, concerts,  and so much more.

July 1

Outdoor Salsa, Bachata, Kizomba Dancing at Parc de la Villette

Every Wednesday throughout the summer, you can enjoy outdoor dancing at Parc de la Villette.


Fete du Cinema– This Wednesday is supposed to be a scorcher. If you’re looking for some place with AC, check out the last day of 4 euros films at the Fete du Cinema.

July 2

1er Numero

1ere Numero du Food Market – Is a new culinary event,that will take place in Belleville where you can discover different cuisines from different countries.

Black Summer Festival

Black Summer Festival– July 2- 26 there will be a series of funk, soul, afrobeat, jazz, hip-hop, and blues concerts at Cabaret Sauvage

Friday Beats Party –  If your looking for a great way to kick off the first weekend in July. The second edition of Friday Beats Old School Hip Hop After work at La Perouse  is going down July 3rd with one of the best DJs from Paris DJ. Baba Flex on the 1s and 2s.

Femmes en Sport

Femmes en Sport Is a day of sport and fitness activities dedicated to women. There will be 30 fitness activities in 9 different locations,where women can take advantage to try out new fitness classes throughout the city.

Canal de l'ourq

Festival de L’ourq– starting July 4 until August 23 there will be a series of fun outdoor activities (brunch, concerts, water sports, street art) along the canal de l’ourq. Check out more information here.

Apéro FestivalFestival dedicated to the Bretagne Region of France. The brand Loïc Raison will be hosting a festival with DJ sets, street food, cider, and pétanque.

Le Bal Latino au Parc de Belleville- For all the Salsa lovers, La Caravane de la Salsa is announcing their kick off tour of salsa in various parks throughout Paris. The first one will begin in Parc de Belleville Saturday July 4th.

July 5

Sieste Electronique – Music & Nap lovers. Take advantage of a chance to unwind at the Musee du Quai Branly. Every Sunday, artists and musicians will set the mood for a nice nap in the summer garden of the Quai Branly Museum. To snag a place for this grand electro music nap click here.


July 7

Alvin Ailey

Alvin Ailey Tour–  July 7th- August 1st the NY based dance company Alvin Ailey will be performing in Paris as a part of the Summer of Dance Festival. There will be 27 exceptional performances directed by Robert Battle, with a mix of classic pieces, as well as new creations.

July 14

14 Juillet

Celebrate France’s National holiday with a large variety of events (street parties, parades and fireworks). You can watch Fireworks at the Champs de Mar, or Champs Elyées, or even Parc de Belleville for a pretty good view.

July 15-18

Festival FNAC Live– Free outdoor concerts hosted by FNAC at Hotel de Ville will begin July 15th for 3 day of 27 different concerts. Check out the line up of artist here.

July 22

cine en plein air

Cinema en Plein Air- Snag a group of friends, a picnic spread, and enjoy nice movie outdoors under the stars. The summer outdoor movie program at Parc de la Villette will kick of July 22- August 23.  To see the full program of films click here.

Tour de France

Tour de France– Catch the final stage of the Tour de France in Paris at the Champs Elysées. It is really something incredible to watch.
