I am still high off the energy AFROPUNK brought to Paris this past weekend. It was such a nice way to spend the weekend listening to great music by artist such as: Willow and Jayden Smith, NORRA, Lion Babe, Leon Bridges, Patrice Bart Williams, Young Paris, and the list goes on. I was a little weary how things would take in Paris, especially since the venue was not outdoors, but everything came together so well. The Le Trianon theatre was such a beautiful space that created a nice intimate setting to watch the different sets, then hang out in the foyer to converse, check out the pop-up shop vendors, live painting exhibits, and eat or drink.
One of my favorite things about #AfropunkParis was connecting with new people that traveled to Paris just for this event, and admiring everyone’s beautiful and unique personal style.
Here are some photos that recap the awesomeness of Afropunk’s first debut in Paris. I was so intrigued by everything going on, I wasn’t as camera happy as usual. But thanks to an awesome photographer Aurélien Gillier, he was able to capture great shots of the energy and myriads of different people.
